Saying Thank You

Saying thank you holds more value than what you may think when it comes to your friendships. Our Just Friends Mindfulness Experts know that properly identifying or asserting the meanings of your gratitude is the key to appealing to your friends trust and acceptance.


Valuing the person's input and employing listening skills can be a couple of ways to show your appreciation but, did you know that when you can properly identify the meaning behind your thank you' s that you will appeal to more of your friends? Being able to correctly interpret the intent and action that caused your gratitude means that you're not just saying thank you, but you understand why you are saying thank you.


Lasting friendships occur when trust and acceptance have meaning. Mindfulness relating to friendship means being aware and focusing on the moment and showing your friends that you understand thier intent and actions towards you.


Saying meaningful thank you' s makes people more receptive to becoming your friends. Know why you say thank you and mean it!


We're all just a little guilty of saying thank you and thinking nothing of it. But, -what if you actually took the time out of your day to reflect on the last person you said thank you to and why? You'll be surprised to know that most people cannot remember why or even who they last said thank you to. There are a number of reasons why we are sometimes careless with our thank you' s like; lateness, anxiety, multi-tasking, familiarities, norms, habits, and many other factors. The key is to take the time out to realize why we say thank you and to communicate those reasons to our friends.
