Thanksgiving is defined as a day to express gratitude, especially to God for a safe arrival. The North American pilgrims knew this in 1621 when they held a harvest festival that featured a turkey as the main course of the meal. The North American festival was so successful that it became an annual holiday celebrated every fourth Thursday in the month of November. Since then, America‘s families celebrate Thanksgiving with a sense of thankfulness as the main theme for this traditional holiday.
So, what are you thankful for this year? If you have family and friends, how are you going to prepare to meet them for Thanksgiving dinner? If you’re already very familiar and a frequent arrival at your family or friends' homes, how are you going to be different this year? These are just some of the questions we all think about around the holiday season and they can be the source of great anxiety, nervousness, sadness, and pressure to prove that you are better off than you were before.
